Wylder loves, loves, loves coloring.  He giggles the moment I offer him a coloring book.  You would think this would be the perfect gift, wouldn’t you?

Don’t get me wrong.  I’m a huge fan of the Leapster Tag.  What a generous, educational birthday gift, right? Well…

Where in the ever-loving world would my sweet angel learn something like this?

What???  You’re trying to tell me that two-year-olds need a certain amount of supervision? You serious, Clark?

    I guess I didn’t get that memo.

He looks totally innocent to me.. you need a family pet to blame all that on!

I love seeing the amazing world of 2 & 3 year olds!  Exploration is a wonderful way to learn how things work.  Of course, children need boundaries, but just think of how he felt seeing that markers don’t just work on paper and that food makes a neat “splat” when thrown!  Love it!  Its all part of the growing up process! =^)

I can hear it now:

Wha? Wylder!  No sir!  We do NOT write on our body with markers!  We do NOT throw our food!  No, no, no.  Don’t you know better than this?  You are in BIG trouble mister…....Now hold on, let me get my camera.

I LOVE his hair, it is soo adorable long! I was thinking of advancing Cooper to markers bc he loves to eat crayons…..but i am second guessing that thought!

BTW, my kids LOVED this blog….so much fun to see their cousin being a little naughty.  But Emersen said you “clearly gave him too much to eat.”

Jenny, nailed it…..I can so hear Meridith doing that exact dialog! And you gotta love Emersen’s take on it.

Jenny- You seriously did nail it.  He’s gonna start thinking me taking photos is part of the punishment!

Emersen- I clearly did give him way too much oatmeal!

Nate’s comment:  “That is pretty sad.”  He’s very sympathetic to Wylder getting in trouble.

what a cutie!  my daughter is 16 months and is already starting her “terrible twos”.  Thank god for our dog…she eats everything that lands on the floor!!  Have you tried the color wonder markers?  They’re amazing…don’t show up anywhere but the specific paper you buy for them.  Definitely worth the money!
