1. June One

And now, I give you four things that the first day of June means to me:

    1.  Muscle May is officially over.  Complete.  Finito.  Doners.  And the best part?  I didn’t kill Jbird

I love him, I really do, but the whole husband/trainer thing has never worked in the past.  So luckily, the result of the workout leaned more toward a bit more muscle tone instead of divorce.  Just saying.

(Okay, to tell you the truth, I officially failed on the eating healthy part of the regimen.  So, for the month of June, my focus will be more on healthy food choices and cardio.  Not that this gives you the right to eyeball my plate at any particular parties/barbecues that we may happen to attend together.)

    2.  My son will turn two next month.  Two!!!!  And yes, I know that I shouldn’t be so proud of this accomplishment, but let me tell you I was beaming when he looked up at me the other day, patted his diaper, and said the three most beautiful words, “Mama, poo poo.”  I seriously had a small tear in my right eye.

Okay, so what if some of his buddies are spelling their names and requesting specific food items in full sentences?  He can verbally inform me of his bathroom needs, and has already done so twice…even if the damage was already done in the Luvs size 4,...and then later in the bathtub…

Did I mention that he’s an excellent jumper?

    3.  Hopefully, I won’t ever have to see this ever again.  Or at least until May 2011.

say goodbye to your lih-ul friend

Oh, Mustache May, how I want to punch you in the upper lip area.

    4.  And last, but not least, I have already officially busted out the “momsuit.”  You know, the slimsuit that does indeed slim some areas, but in the meantime pushes everthing that’s leftover to the outskirts of the suit, leaving those parts looking mostly not slim.

    Happy June, ya’ll.

I will have to admit that the stache is a bit more dense this year. Has he ever thought of “Mullet” May?

We are officially 2 1/2 at my house (X2) and still wearing the size 4s!  I do get informed now of what I can expect inside the diaper, so maybe progress has been made.  Good luck to you in your potty training adventures.  I’m hoping for success this summer with lots of elastic waists and some pull-ups (size 4, of course)!

The momsuit made me laugh out loud for real. I prefer the tank/dress/cover-me-up suit thingy. In other words, I’m chubby, I’m extra super-duper white, and I need coverage! ha.
