Valentine’s giveaway!
Because it’s almost Valentines Day, and because I’m really feeling the love, I am giving away two SB Cupcake One-pieces!
All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment telling me your V-day plans for the weekend. Actually, this is totally selfish. My plan is that Jbird will happen to stumble upon your comments and get an out-of-this-world idea for us to implement this weekend. So, let me know your plans for celebrating this day of love!
Contest ends Sunday, Valentine’s Day, at midnight. I’ll announce both winners on Monday. Buenas suerte!

Tonight we are celebrating with friends and tomorrow night it’s dinner with family and then Sunday is some good ole’ hang out time with Jesus. We actually aren’t getting any alone time to celebrate this year so I guess it’s all about spreading the love with those around you!

I have no out of the world Valentine’s day plans. I’m just hoping my husband makes it back home. He’s been stuck at an airport for three days now.
Cute onesie! My dd is turning one in a couple weeks and we are doing a cupcake theme.
By Rachel on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:16am
Tonight we are either going out to dinner & a movie or going out to dinner with a movie in… not sure yet! It will be business as usual on V-Day with church and then delivering V-day goodies.
By SarahJ on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:38am
Oh, we’re going to the Melting Pot. Nothing says I love you like chocolate fondue
By Suze on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:39am
Our plans have been scuppered by our 8 month old getting a horrendous tummy bug. They’ve now been changed to a takeaway, two bottles of pear cider and making sure dd gets enough fluids!
By eM on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:39am
Dinner with the inlaws. Romantic, no?
By EmilyS on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:40am
My husband is planning a surprise for tomorrow night. Hopefully we’ll get to go out and my husband’s cold would deter us!
By Sarah on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:41am
well its my husbands birthday so i will be making him a heart shaped birthday cake
By LFin on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:52am
Our main plans for the weekend are helping friends re-arrange bedrooms for their four children and then lunch at church on Sunday to honor the widows & widowers in our church family.
Hubby gave me my Valentine yesterday - after a ‘Daddy Daughter & Granddaughter” day out with our daughter & grandbaby. Beautiful handblown glass necklace & earrings -Yes, he went to that jewelry store!:) He also gave our daughter a pandora necklace with beads representing her, our son-in-law & granddaughter. Then he bought new shoes for the baby! What a guy! How sweet he is!
This onesie would look so cute on our 9 month old grandbaby. She’s our sweetie.
By Debbie B on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:54am
We are going out to eat with some friends from college that we haven’t seen in awhile. Then we will spend time as a family since this is our son’s first Valentine’s Day.
By Andrea on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:56am
We are demo-ing our bathroom and probably going to a movie and dinner!
By Lauren Stewart on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:56am
No huge plans for us yet but I do have to say my husband is the king of surprises! Not that i’m expecting one since we have our little one at home and it’s our first valentine’s with her. Mostly we’ll be happy to just have family time together that has nothing to do with errands or anything we feel like we have to do. If the weather permits, I was thinking of surprising him for once and go to a park with the baby and have a little impromtu valentine picnic. =)
other ideas though? we live near napa valley so I’ve also always wanted to go hot air ballooning with a brunch afterwards!
By Makani on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:10am
If the weather weren’t so wet & rainy, my plans were to use an idea my husband had one year for me…I’ve not been able to match his gift to me since. I was even inspired poetically afterward. We live on 10 acres and have over the years cleared several winding trails throughout the trees, and 10 years ago, C.J. put candles in jars all along our trails. It took a lot of effort for him to light this trail, and I have no idea how long he’d been collecting the jars. I’ll never forget it. I wanted to do something similar, but not as many candles as he did, I think he lit over a hundred. Needless to see we had a very romantic several month stretch after that!!
By Mona Wagner on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:11am
Staying in and watching movies!
By Lindsay on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:17am
We have a 6 week old baby. So our plans revolve around him. Basically, we’ll watch TV and hold our son. And maybe eat something. Usually we go out or get sushi and catch up on TV. Good times!
By Meredith on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:21am
Well, we are having a family Valentine’s Day! Everyone is coming to our house for birthday/V Day celebration. Romantic? Yes.
By Roxie on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:22am
Ugh, V-day!! I’m not a big fan of Valentines day… I know, I know I should it’s a great day to get flowers and to have a wonderful date with the hubby, but there is just something about it that I’m not a big fan of. Paul has just returned home from a long trip to Arizona for 34 days so I’m sure we will just have a wonderful dinner here at that house and hang out with the little one. It’s always exciting around this house so it should be wonderful!!!
Happy V-Day :D
By Heather on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:24am
We’re having friends over for dinner!
By Karin Sykes on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:29am
We’re going to church where I’ll be serving in the nursery. After that, we’re going on a date to the local museum of life and science (which is one of our favorite date spots) and then hopefully out to dinner some place fun. Happy Valentines Day to all!
By Jodi Cobb on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:29am
No real plans. I’m just going to relax and watch a whole bunch of movies with my sister.
Don’t worry, I’m not being weird. Neither of us have Valentines this year LOL. (:
By Farihah on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:30am
no plans, but that’s ok
By Yaya Cheryl on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:31am
Well the plumber is here now, so theoretically this afternoon I’ll have a KITCHEN back! We’re having people over for the opening ceremonies tonight and I’ll likely make something a little special for dinner on Sunday.
By EG on Feb 12, 2010 - 10:34am
Going to church, enjoying a great lunch with friends, taking a nap and just hanging out with my cute hubby and girls. Did I mention that Finnley would look so cute in that lil cupcake oneies!!!
By Jamie Talley on Feb 12, 2010 - 11:19am
No big plans for this chickadee. We are just making some dinner and then actually “celebrating” later in the month with a wine tasting event. More so, it is just an excuse to go taste wine
Thanks for the giveaway!!
By Jessica Nelson on Feb 12, 2010 - 11:34am
We are waiting a few days after V-day so we don’t have to bother with the crowds. Exciting, I know! I am hoping to go to see Valentine’s Day but I guess we’ll see!
By Minta on Feb 12, 2010 - 11:37am
I have a new boyfriend (almost 4 months!) so he’s got some things planned! I’m sure it’ll be great!
By Aunt Dana on Feb 12, 2010 - 11:38am
Tonight hubby got a babysitter, and we’re heading to a birthday party at a fun coffee shop/bakery downtown. Then tomorrow night, we’re celebrating our November anniversary (yes, we’re a tad late) w/ 2 other couples who share Nov anniversaries with us.
By Sally on Feb 12, 2010 - 12:30pm
I’m surprising my husband by taking him climbing at Emerald City in Kansas City. It’s the state’s largest indoor rock wall! We both love climbing any chance we get. I’m going to trick him and tell him to dress nicely (just to throw him off), but when we get there, I’ll have a bag with our climbing clothes in it! Muhaha! I love being sneaky!
By Kara Bloom on Feb 12, 2010 - 12:51pm
My husband and I are limited on plans with me being so far along in my pregnancy, but we are determined to have a good time! He has been out in Colorado for work for a month and I flew out to visit him for this sweet holiday! We found a castle in Manitou Springs called Marimont Castle that is offering a Valentine’s Day tour and dinner! How romantic will a castle be for Valentines Day?!?
Its our first Valentines Day being married and we’ve got a little girl on the way, so this day is going to be ohhh so special for us!
Hope everyone else has a fantastic holiday as well!!
By Cadence Peeples on Feb 12, 2010 - 2:14pm
Well…we have a babysitter coming tonight so we can go to the movies and see Valentine’s Day. I’ll let you know if it’s good. And then we will eat out as well. Just excited to have a date. It sure is harder to find the time to take dates once kids come into the picture. I’m sure Jason has wonderful plans for his crafty wife!!
By Kara Fuller on Feb 12, 2010 - 2:21pm
Im hosting the grand opening of my shop!!! dont know that its romantic, but very exciting!
By becca on Feb 12, 2010 - 2:39pm
We are going to have a nice day loving on our little girl and spending time with her. We may (pending the babysitter calling me back) go on a date tonight. I’m thinking dinner and the shooting range (my treat to my husband).
By Savannah on Feb 12, 2010 - 2:54pm
As new parents, we are definitely failing in the romance department. Since my hubby will be working long hours over the weekend, I’m going to leave a nice (rather slippery…wink nudge) gift on his pillow… so though we may sleep at different times, he’ll know that my heart and mind are all his!
By J-ROK on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:04pm
We are going to Cooper’s Hawk, my favorite winery/restaurant tonight to hopefully escape the holiday crowds…on V-day we will have a candle light dinner that’s not so romantic as we let our two lil redheads join in.
By The Original Drama Mama on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:10pm
I’m visiting my lover in Saskatoon. We’re going out for fancy dinner, then to Costco, because real life and romance are forced to mingle when you live on a farm.
By katie sanders on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:10pm
We’re not big Valentine’s celebraters. I’m planning on making a little treat for my hubby - a glass soda bottle filled with red cinnamon candies and card out of a wood heart that says “Wood You Be Mine?” That’s the plan anyway. I’ll see what I can find at the store. I’ll be surprised if my husband does anything at all for me. Not because he’s not sweet and awesome and wonderful, he’s just kind of anti-Valentine’s day! Maybe he’ll cook me a yummy dinner.
By Martina on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:13pm
Movies in bed and games of gin rummy… We’re staying in with a stomach-bug stricken 8-month-old, who, incidentally, would look ADORABLE in this sweet little onesie!
By Kim Miller on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:21pm
Still in the planning stages but definitely will involve lots and lots of chocolate.
By Janice on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:34pm
I am going out with the “girls” tonight for a Mexican dinner and then a tearjerker movie, ‘Dear John’....J Stewart
By Janet Stewart on Feb 12, 2010 - 4:35pm
My husband and I are going to be very romantic this year. He’s taking me to eat at Big Truck Tacos! Oh, yeah!!
By Jessica Jenkins on Feb 12, 2010 - 9:29pm
Well, my husband has been home all day every day since Wednesday, when we ended up with four feet of snow. I think the most romantic thing we can do for each other is give each other a little space.
By Sandra on Feb 13, 2010 - 8:20am
Hangin with friends tonight then spending Sunday at church, maybe chuck e cheese for vday with the kids and hopefully on the soccer fields for my son’s first practice (if the ground dries out). I love that cupcake outfit!
By amanda emery on Feb 13, 2010 - 8:25am
We are spending valentine’s weekend at home with our 9 month old twins. Not going and doing anything special for valentine’s day. Actually, our goal will probably be to not get out of the house.
By Jessica on Feb 13, 2010 - 9:13am
I am a nurse, so I’ll be working a 12 hour shift and then my husband will make dinner for us when I get home. And I asked for some pink candy, but no roses!
By Christine on Feb 13, 2010 - 10:59am
I’m afraid I won’t be able to help you. I’m by myself. I’ll go to Church in the morning, but I have no plans at all for the afternoon and evening.
By Jackie R on Feb 13, 2010 - 11:31am
don’t know but hoping it involves sushi and/or chocolate.
By di on Feb 13, 2010 - 11:57am
Sushi and SLEEP!!
By Melanie on Feb 13, 2010 - 5:44pm
We are keeping it low key with our 7 week old daughter. We may renew our vows at church tomorrow or just spend time watching old romcoms.
By Janna on Feb 13, 2010 - 5:53pm
We just had our Valentine Banquet at church. We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment which included Gospel Elvis.
By mama on Feb 13, 2010 - 8:48pm
We are planning on going out to lunch with all three kids in tow and then coming home to take a nap! Doesn’t sound very romantic, but it DOES sound very nice!
By Amy Harris on Feb 14, 2010 - 12:32pm
Just hanging out with the family after a 4 yr old birthday party. She wanted to go to the beach so we had the party at the Y pool…helped us forget about the cold!

Every one acknowledges that our life seems to be very expensive, nevertheless different people require cash for different stuff and not every person gets enough cash. Thence to receive quick loans or just student loan will be a right way out.

Use a soft dampened cloth to clean more delicate jewelry or softer silvers. Wet the silver and add a dab of toothpaste. Remember that a little goes a long way. Rub gently with the moistened cloth until polished.
